Today, Monday, May 19th, 2008 there was a fatal apartment fire. A family of four was trapped. They all passed. Tim, his mom, Sherri, and his two sisters Virgina and Emily, they were both in college. Tim was a Senior at B-B high school. The apartment complex fire was on the corner of Trip Rd. This is the second set of students to pass away from my school within this past school year. Tim was a good student, he had a lot of friends, loved by almost everyone. Tim was the kind of person that would do everything in his power to make you feel better if you were upset, or sad and he would make you laugh. Tim opened the window of their apartment to yell for help, and the firefighters went in, they could not reach them because of the flames. They were trapped within the flames. Opening the window to let someone know where they were was smart, but on the other hand, it gave the fire more oxygen, which made it spread faster. They could not get out. Tim deprestpartely tried to save himself and his family by yelling for help before his own life was taken, but his efforts were amazing but, in the end, did not save them, unforuntetly. And after a little over 5 hours of trying to put it out, they put it out and went in to find any survivers, unforuntetly there were none. Everyone made it out safely but the Reis family. The fire started in the room next to theirs'. We are all going to miss our beloveided classmate and friend Tim, and his family. The whole back of the complex is gone. I believe they are going to take it down and start over. The fire started at about 4:30 am this morning. As of right now the bodies of the Reis family have been sent out to get tested to see who is who, because they are too burned for idenification, but they all fit the descriptation of them. The flames were over 20 feet high. There was 6 different fire stations on the scene. Everyone at B-B are mornning their death.
All this imformation about the fire came from an eye-witness. His house could have easily been taking within the flames as well, but luckly it wasnt. I am very close with him as well.
Today at lunch today, some of my classmates thought it was funny. And they were saying how their skin must have smelt when they were burning. (sorry for the ppl with weak stomachs but it is the truth) They were set to ISS or dention. Tim was a wonderful person and I will miss him with all my heart.

Ohh thats so sad. ;_; my gosh, sad stuff happens every day, doesn't it. ( and people can be so cruel about it )
My God though... that must've been... wow I would have been terrified. I know there was a fire by my friend's home yesterday. (luckily it wasn't hers) but it wasn't that big. My God.

Its horrible. Today there is a memorial service at the school for the Reis family. It was a big shock when we found out that they died. A lot of the high school left, and the middle school was really sad. Classes weren't the same.

Not at all. I was at that memorial. It was sooooo sad!! I almost lost it when they talked about Tim. Thank gosh that my friend who graduated last year was there to give me a hug. It was so depressing there. I still cant get over the fact they are gone. Its just......really hard.
